Lightning Stakes Day Results 2011

On Saturday February 19, Flemington Racecourse was host to a brilliant day’s racing with Lightning Stakes Day 2011 and here we have the full Flemington Race Results.

Flemington racing today was highlighted by Race 6 – the $750,000 Group 1 Lightning Stakes (1000m) where the world’s highest-rated sprinter Black Caviar continued her freakish run of wins with an empathic victory over Hay List.

Other feature events on the Lightning Stakes Day card included the two Group 3 races for three-year-olds offering a 2011 Australian Guineas ballot exemption, The Mittys Vanity for fillies and the colts and geldings CS Hayes Stakes.

Flemington Race 5 the $200,000 Group 3 The Mittys Vanity (1400m) saw Adelaide filly Southern Speed keep her perfect race record intact while in the $200,000 Group 3 CS Hayes Stakes (1400m) Bullbars claimed an upset win.
