Chew The Fat is now the second shortest-priced contender in the future Golden Slipper markets of the unraced two-year-olds behind stablemate Fast Shantni.
The well-bred Snitzel colt, owned by Dynamic Syndications Racing, will make their highly-spruiked debut today in the opening race at Randwick’s Kensington track.
After winning a 900m jumpout at Rosehill in fine style on February 2, Chew The Fat is set to start the red hot favourite in the $27,000 New Beginnings Handicap (1000m) at Randwick today.
Race time for Chew The Fat’s debut is 1:15pm (AEDST) and after a favourable barrier three draw the colt is paying $2.80 at Luxbet to win.
Having displayed all the traits of a genuine racehorse from day one, Chew The Fat may be green but the has the natural speed, talent and strength to win first-up today.
Purchased for $135,000 as a yearling at the Gold Coast Magic Millions Sales, Chew the Fat was the top priced colt in the QTIS 600 sale.
