International galloper Munsef has been withdrawn from this Saturday?s Group 2 Sandown Classic by his owner Dr. Marwan Koukash.

Koukash has decided to bring an end to the eight-year-old gelding?s Australian campaign following his solid 12^th place finish in the Melbourne Cup back on November 3.

Munsef?s trainer Ian Williams was still eager to run the stayer in the $400 000 Sandown feature, but Koukash will be sending Munsef home aboard the same plane as Luca Cumani?s Cima De Triomphe.
