International galloper Munsef has been withdrawn from this Saturday?s Group 2 Sandown Classic by his owner Dr. Marwan Koukash.
Koukash has decided to bring an end to the eight-year-old gelding?s Australian campaign following his solid 12th place finish in the Melbourne Cup back on November 3.
Munsef?s trainer Ian Williams was still eager to run the stayer in the $400 000 Sandown feature, but Koukash will be sending Munsef home aboard the same plane as Luca Cumani?s Cima De Triomphe.
