Nestled around Perth’s spectacular Swan River, Belmont Park is one of Australia’s best wet racetracks. Used during Perth’s winter racing season, the racecourse is situated between the city and its river and features fully enclosed facilities to allow spectators to enjoy the races without the cold.
The racetrack features excellent drainage and is located just a few metres from the Belmont Park Railway Station. It has a circumference of 1,699 metres and a straight of 333 metres long. With sweeping bends at either end of the track, horses need a good run on the straight before they hit these bends so that they can remain in a good position.
