Gosford Racecourse News
Gosford Racecourse is a superb racing facility with a unique race track and plenty of races throughout the year that is run by the Gosford Race Club. Located 76km north of Sydney and 91km south of Newcastle, the track hosts the Gosford Spring Racing Carnival which features for one month during October and November.
The clockwise track has a circumference of 1710 metres and a 250 metre straight with a unique layout featuring very tight turns. The race club can accommodate for any event and on race day, spectators can either gather in the JH Little Members Stand, which overlooks the saddling enclosure and winning post or they can look from the MJ Cusick Stand. This is open to the public and features two levels. The ground floor is called the Riverdale Bar and includes a large public bar and tote facilities where as the upper level is enclosed and fully air conditioned.

Gosford Racing
The Gosford Gold Cup is worth $150,000 and is the premier event of the Gosford Spring Racing Carnival. The other major race is the $100,000 Raine & Horne Gosford Belle of the Turf Stakes which opens the carnival in mid October.
There are meetings held throughout the year including the Easter Sunday race day, Gosford 3YO Guineas, Takeover Target Stakes, Christmas Race Day, New Years Eve Race Day and the Anzac Day race day.

Train:
The nearest train station is Gosford Station, on either the Northern Line if you’re coming from Sydney, or the Newcastle and Central Coast line if you’re coming from Newcastle. It is then a 20 minute walk to Gosford Race Club.

Car:
Gosford Race Club is at 4 Racecourse Road in West Gosford an hour’s drive north of Sydney’s CBD. There is plenty of free parking available.
