The official third installment of the key The Everest Day support act takes place at Randwick Racecourse this weekend with the $5 million mile showdown attracting a field overflowing with talent, and the Races.com.au team has the expert 2025 King Charles III Stakes tips and best bets right here.

There are a dozen elite milers gathered for this year’s Group 1 King Charles III Stakes (1600m) with markets at Ladbrokes.com.au narrowly led by Chris Waller‘s outstanding mare and the 2023 champ Fangirl at $4.
The queen of the Randwick mile returned to her castle with a successful 7 Stakes title defence at her latest to shoot to the top of King Charles III Stakes betting.
She’s got the turn of foot, the Group 1 class, and the punters’ trust – Fangirl is the one to beat.
So, will Fangirl fire in the $5 million feature?
Ciaron Maher‘s Pride Of Jenni is the danger, and this mare has both the motor and the mindset to blow the race apart as the next best in the markets.
When Jenni leads, the clock melts, and so do the hopes of her chasers, but will she get things her way in front?
Or should we be looking towards triple Makybe Diva Stakes champ Mr Brightside to continue his gallant eight-year-old campaign?
The King Charles III 2025 winner will be crowned when the royal showdown runs as Randwick Race 9 at 5:35pm (AEDT) on Saturday.
In the meantime, check out our Same Race Multi selections below.
2025 King Charles III Stakes Same Race Multi Selections ($25 at time of publish)
- Top 2 – No. 1 Mr Brightside
- Top 3 – No. 10 Fangirl
- Top 4 – No. 12 Within The Law
MR BRIGHTSIDE (12) might be drawn widest, but if there’s one horse who can overcome it, it’s this evergreen warhorse. The Lindsay Park team flagged pre-spring that he was flying at eight, and he’s backed it up with a Makybe Diva Stakes three-peat and a close second in the Memsie. He’s just shy of $18 million in prize money, third-up fit, and Craig Williams knows him inside out. Sure, the right-handed Randwick setup is a slight query, and he’ll have to work harder than last start, but he’s all class, has a strong record at the mile here, and looks the horse to beat if you’re tipping with your heart and your head.
FANGIRL (11) is back as the $4 favourite at time of publish, and she’s a genuine top-three chance for punters looking to lock in something solid. Chris Waller’s 2023 champ has had a huge 12 months, adding the Queen Of The Turf to her Group 1 tally and defending her 7 Stakes title last start in style. She’s out to bounce back from a midfield finish in this race last year, and while gate 11 isn’t ideal, James McDonald knows her well and Waller’s record in this race is ridiculous — nine wins since 2011 and chasing number ten. She’s proven at Randwick, flying at the mile, and right in the mix again.
WITHIN THE LAW (6) is the forgotten lightweight, and if you’re hunting for a roughie with upside, she’s worth a nibble. Bjorn Baker’s filly drops from 56kg to a featherweight 48kg and comes off a cracking second in the Flight Stakes behind Apocalyptic, who’s now favourite for the Thousand Guineas. She’s twice been runner-up in Group 1s over the Randwick mile, including a narrow loss to Nepotism in the Champagne Stakes as a 2YO, and while this is a big step up at WFA, she’s fit, flying, and could surprise a few if she lands in the right spot.
