The Everest slot owners The ATC have announced that the Godolphin owned English import Home Of The Brave will run for them in the richest race on turf on Saturday week and Cummings is very excited to have a runner.

“It is really exciting news for the team that we are going to be saddling up Home Of The Brave on behalf of the slot holders the ATC in The Everest this year.” Cummings said.

“The horse has got really good form and defeated Trapeze Artist in the Theo Marks. Terribly exciting to have a horse in such a big race, a race that is going to capture the attention of racing internationally and a horse that has his profile with his record so far this campaign to be a really competitive chance for the stable.”

“It would be a feather in the cap of the stable for a horse like him to perform well in a race like this.”

Home Of The Brave was an all the way winner two starts back in the Group 2 $200,000 Theo Marks Stakes (1300m) at Rosehill on September 8 and then ran fourth to Jungle Cat in the Group 1 $500,000 Ladbrokes Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield on September 22.

Tommy Berry has been booked to ride Home Of The Brave in The Everest.

Home Of The Brave has joined the Lloyd Kennewell trained Viddora as overnight additions to The Everest field and the Moir Stakes winner has been selected to fill the slot owned by Damion Flower while Le Romain will be trainer Kris Lees third Everest runner after being signed up by slot holder GPI Racing.

The Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott trained English and Invincible Star have even released from their Everest slots after both mares pulled up lame over the long weekend

English was originally set to run for Damion Flower while Invincible Star was to represent GPI Racing.
