There are five Group races spread out across the card including the Group 1 Champagne Stakes (1600m) for the two-year-old milers and the Group 1 All Aged Stakes (1400m) where Trapeze Artist looks the hard to beat favourite dominating the markets at Ladbrokes.com.au.
With an open 2018 Champagne Stakes betting market full of youngsters yet to step out over 1600m and value to be had in the All Aged Stakes 2018 odds for the placings, there’s a lot to consider before placing your Randwick bets.

It really is hard to go past the favourite in All Aged Stakes betting this year. Has eased out slightly to $2.35 to back-up from the impressive two length win over Redzel in the TJ Smith Stakes (1200m) and take out the race trainer Gerald Ryan has always had scheduled as the major aim. Three-year-olds have a good record in the race and he has winning form at the 1400m taking out the Golden Rose last spring by four lengths in an all-the-way upset. He’s been under the radar plenty with double-figure odds for his big wins, but can’t be found at the price here. Still the one to back, especially with the three-year-olds’ gun form overall this season against open-age fields. Doesn’t need to improve, just race in the same vein of form as last time out, to win.
More than happy to tip a double-figure improver to score an upset in the Hall Mark Stakes this year, a race won 12 months back by Redzel. Kris Lees’ Time Thief mare takes on the boys here having run fourth at big odds to Quilista in the Group 3 Birthday Card Stakes (1200m) at Rosehill back in late March. That form was franked with the winner dominating the Sapphire Stakes results at Randwick last Saturday. She isn’t well-weighted looking at the scale, but gets the rails run from barrier one with top hoop Kerrin McEvoy coming aboard for the ride. She’s a three-time placegetter from three runs at Randwick and a seven-time placegetter from 10 runs at the distance. Definite blowout danger.
Odds-on and market mover for a reason, it should be a win for the punters in the last today. This Godolphin-raced Street Cry four-year-old is going great guns and comes off a lead-up win over the distance at Rosehill from March 31. Freshened-up since and flies with a bit of time between runs. Has won his only other Randwick assignment in similar grade with 59kg by nearly two lengths. Carries 58kg here and the strike rate is solid. Now proven at the distance so has that box ticked, right weight, gun stable and hard to bet against.
