One of the key races on the Rosehill card this Saturday is the Millie Fox Stakes 2017, betting tips and the latest odds on the fillies-and-mares’ showdown found below.

There are 13 runners facing off in this year’s $200,000 Group 2 Ranvet Millie Fox Stakes (1300m) with markets at Ladbrokes.com.au led by Denmagic ($5.50).
Drawn well in barrier five for her second-up run, the David Pfieffer-trained four-year-old comes off a second over 1000m at Randwick in easier company and is out to bring back her nice spring form that included a third in Flemington’s Group 1 Myer Classic (1600m).
It’s a tight top first half of the Millie Fox Stakes betting markets with other key fancies including the returning Hawkes Racing-trained Euro Angel ($6) and flying Time Thief four-year-old In Her Time ($8) coming off the Group 2 Breeders Classic win.
So will the shortest in the Millie Fox Stakes odds salute or is there an upset pending form the likes of the Magic Millions Fillies & Mares winner Private Secretary ($9) or up-and-comer Daysee Doom ($9.50)?

#8 Private Secretary ($9)
Seven-year-old daughter of Husson has the experience over many of these and is still in top form. Has finished top three in her four latest runs including the lucrative Magic Millions win at the Gold Coast over 1300m in mid-January. Is a specialist at this distance (6-3-2-1) and very well weighted with just 54kg. With the right run she’ll be hard to stop.

#13 Daysee Doom ($9.50)
Gun barrier two draw for this progressive Ron Quinton-trained Domesday four-year-old. She won back-to-back races in Sydney during the spring and trialled nicely leading up to this. Unbeaten at Rosehill (2-2-0-0) and has winning form up to 1400m. Last prep she was carrying big weights and will be flying on 54kg for this step up in class. If she handles the tougher company she can add to the consistent record.

#2 In Her Time ($8)
Hard to bet against a mare in such good form, even as she gets out over further distance. Four from nine to date thanks to the Group 2 Breeders Classic (1200m) victory at Randwick at the start of the month. Last shot at a further race produced a disappointing 14th to Danish Twist in April last year. Also rises notably in distance and has a wide alley, but think she is still capable of a top three run.
