A quality field of weight-for-age gallopers has been accepted to face off in Wednesday night’s Tattsbet.Com Stakes 2013, the Launceston showdown the latest black type event of the Tasmanian Summer Racing Carnival.

Youthful Jack defends their title in the Tattsbet.Com Stakes in Tasmania on Wednesday night
Set to run as Launceston Race 6 at 9:15pm (local time) the $90,000 Listed Tattsbet.Com Stakes (1200m) has this year drawn a final field of eight hopefuls.
Dominating the entries are co-trainers David & Scott Brunton with three acceptors one of which comes off a last start with Galibier vying for their fourth win from their past five starts.
The four-year-old Telesto gelding has raced just 11 times to date for five wins and four minor placings.
During the spring they were in outstanding form winning their first two starts over 1100m at Hobart and then Launceston by three and four and a half lengths respectively during October.
Stepped up to black type company third-up they were far from disgraced in the Listed Tasmanian Newmarket Handicap (1200m) in November when less than a length away fourth to It’s Crunch Time.
Galibier was last seen winning a Benchmark 78 at Hobart on December 16 and are sure to start a top fancy for tomorrow night.
The Brunton’s other hopefuls are then the super consistent Tough Speed gelding Banca Mo in gate six with Craig Newitt to ride and Dee Bee Nine who will get the inside run from barrier one.
Banca Mo has won eight of their 15 career starts including two staying events in Melbourne last winter with an eight length effort over 1800m at Flemington and a three length success over Hobart Cup winner The Cleaner at Moonee Valley.
They failed in their last run however when dropped back down to 1700m for the Listed Slickpix Stakes at Caulfield in early September, Banca Mo having been beaten six lengths when 12th to Cuban Sunday.
Red Ransom six-year-old Dee Bee Nine meanwhile was formerly prepared by Will Clarken in Adelaide and has their first run for new connections on Wednesday, the gelding last seen running a brave sixth in the Listed X’Mas Handicap (1400m) at Morphettville on December 26.
There is one other last-start winner in the mix on Wednesday night with Leon Wells’ smart mare Rebel Bride (barrier five) coming off a victory over 1150m on the synthetic track at Devonport.
Also in the mix is the defending winner Youthful Jack prepared by Ross Stitt in Taree, the Youthful Legs gelding having taken out the race then called TheTote.Com.Au Stakes during a three-run raid on the Tassie Festival of Racing last year.
They are here for the same campaign in 2013 and Adam Trinder is again in charge of their preparation while in the Apple Isle, Youthful Jack out to improve on their two disappointing December runs with eight and seventh respectively at Warwick Farm.
Other notable hopefuls then include Patrick Payne’s Victorian visitor Cellarmaster who will be ridden by Michelle Payne in their second run in Tasmania this time in following a good second to Rebel Bride first-up at Devonport, and Exceed And Excel six-year-old Youbolt who was third in the X’Mas Stakes at Caulfield drawn nicely in barrier two.
Gary White’s West Quest four-year-old Barysh Quest then rounds out the Tattsbet.Com Stakes field.
