There have been a total of eight scratchings for today’s racing on Super Saturday at Flemington.
The two feature races, the Group 1 Newmarket Handicap and the Group 1 Australian Cup have been relatively unaffected by scratchings.
The 2011 Newmarket Handicap has seen one scratching so far after second favourite Hay List was scratched on Friday due to a shoulder injury, delaying the anticipated rematch with Black Caviar.
In Race 7, the Australian Cup, there have been no scratchings.
