Originally another meet was planned for Nowra in New South Wales, but the day has been postponed due to the state of the track.

Mornington is one of three TAB race meetings taking place in Victoria today and will host the first race of the day when the $12,000 Nissan X Trial Wanna Live SV 3YO Fillies Maiden Plate (1223m) jumps at 12:50pm (AEDST).

The eight-race card at Mornington features a number of exciting Class and Handicap events including Race 6 – the $12,000 Nissan Maxima Affordable Luxury 0 – 72 Handicap (1018m) where #3 Amaudru is our pick to win.

  • Ipswich (QLD)Race 1 jumps at 1:45pm (AEDST) – Bet now at Luxbet

In Queensland the first of two race meetings will run in Ipswich with an eight-race line-up starting with the $12,000Darvan Constructions Pty Ltd Class 1 Handicap (2180m) where #6 Miss Lucky Choice will be hard to beat with a nice weight and champion hoop Chris Munce in the mount.

Another good race on card is Race 8 – the $12,000 Altec Prestige Carports Class 2 Handicap (1100m) featuring three runners trained by Rex Lipp but that we rate #2 Rapid Leica Jacko to win.

One of the major metropolitan meetings this Friday will run at Sydney’s Kensington track at Randwick where seven events will light up the track, things getting underway at 3:21pm (AEDST) with the $27,000 Hall Chadwick Handicap (1000m) where Peter Snowden’s Jacpo is our favourite.

All seven races at Randwick today are exciting Handicap features and our top tips for the day are #3 Street Lover in Race 5 the $27,000 McGrath Estate Agents Handicap (1500m) at 5:47pm (AEDST), and #5 Military Gal in Race 7 the $27,000 AJC Corporate Membership Handicap (1100m) at 6:59pm (AEDST).

Another Victorian TAB meet is set to run at Swan Hill this afternoon with a small but quality six-race programme kicking off just after 4pm with the $12,000 Mildura Party Hire SV 3YO Maiden Plate (975m).

The sole TAB meeting in South Australia this Friday is at Oakbank where the first of seven events, the $10,000 Crompton Lighting Maiden Plate (1050m), kicks off at 4:13pm (AEDST).

The two highlight events are Race 6 – the $10,000 Yalumba Handicap (1400m) where #12 Cyan can cause an upset, and Race 7 – the $10,000 Scott Group of Companies Handicap (1400m) featuring Mark Kavanagh’s stablemates Invincible Diva and Mystera, along with the Peter Moody-trained Pendance.

  • Bunbury (WA)Race 1 jumps at 5:32pm (AEDST) – Bet now at Luxbet

In Western Australia today’s racing action will run at Bunbury with an eight-race card kicking off at 5:32pm (AEDST) with the $10,000 The Grand Banskia Maiden (1100m).

Best race of the day in WA is Race 7 – the $12,500 Scott Park Homes Handicap (1200m) where #8 Maxximus Dignitas is our pick to win for top local trainer Adam Durrant.

  • Moonee Valley (VIC) Race 1 jumps at 6:45pm (AEDST) – Bet now at Luxbet

The best Friday racing action is taking place at Moonee Valley tonight, the premier metro Melbourne track hosting a cracker eight-race twilight programme starting at 6:45pm (AEDST) with the $30,000 NYE at Moonee Valley Handicap (1600m) where #2 Mirakye for Tony Vasil is drawn ideally to win.

Richest race on the card at Moonee Valley tonight is Race 4 – the $55,000 Essendon Mazda 55 Second Challenge Heat 7 (955m) featuring a wide open field where any horse could win.

  • Sunshine Coast (QLD) Race 1 jumps at 7:30pm (AEDST) – Bet now at Luxbet

Today’s racing action winds up at the Sunshine Coast in Queensland with a great seven-race card running from 7:30pm (AEDST) when Race 1 – the $10,000 Suncorp Bank Colts, Geldings and Entires Class 1 Handicap (1400m) jumps.

Race 6 – the $12,000 Blacklaw Civil Contractors Class 3 Handicap (1600m) should be a cracker, watch for #2 A Boy Called Sue in the event.
