Today’s horse racing will see a quality line up of seven TAB race meetings across the country including the rescheduled Melbourne Cup Carnival Preview Day at Flemington featuring the Turnbull Stakes.
Melbourne Cup Carnival Preview Day at Flemington was moved back a day from Saturday 2nd October to Sunday 3rd October in order to prevent a clash with the AFL Grand Final Replay. The Flemington meeting will commence at 12 noon with the Group 1 $500,000 Turnbull Stakes (2000m) headlining a nine race card where all races carry Group or Listed status.
The other race meetings today are at Benalla in Victoria, Muswellbrook and Cootamundra in New South Wales, Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Northam in Western Australia and Port Lincoln in South Australia.
The main focus for racing enthusiasts and punters will be at Fleminton for the Group 1 Turnbull Stakes which features an amazing line up of horses including current favourite Shoot Out, Typhoon Tracy, Darniana, Descarado and 2009 Melbourne Cup winner Shocking. The 2010 Turnbull Stakes is Race 7 on the card and will jump at 3:40pm (AEDST). The Turnbull Stakes is a key lead up race for the main Spring Carnival features as it offers the winner a ballot exemption into the Caulfield Cup and also will see them pass the first elimination clause for the 2010 Melbourne Cup.
If you are looking to bet on the 2010 Turnbull Stakes or any of the other fantastic racing on offer this Sunday then head on over to [sportsbet] and start betting now!
