Race 6 Results – $151,500 Lexus Hybrid Plate – Majestic Music Wins
Majestic Music has won the 1400m Listed Lexus Hybrid Plate by sprinting to the finish line in the last 100m.
Miraculous Miss was slow to come out of the gates with a length in front of the filly and the other runners.
Starry Eyed took the lead early followed by She Swings, Hukba and race favourite Kanzan following in fourth position.
Kanzan then advanced to second position however was once again overtaken by She Swing before the 400m.
After the 400m mark, Kanzan was getting on the inside to tackle race leader Starry Eyed.
With 200m to go the pack tightened, shortening the lead however at the 100m outside sweepers Europa Point and Majestic Music pushed up to fight out the last 50m.
Majestic Music beat Europa Point by less than a head with Indian Ocean following three lengths behind in third place.
Ridden by Steven Arnold, Majestic Music was the top qualifying horse for the event with a handicap rating of 94.
