The meeting’s namesake race and final elite level of the year in New South Wales is the 2016 Spring Champion Stakes running as Race 7 at 4:10pm (AEDT).

All 11 original final acceptors for the three-years-old classic are still in the mix and the Spring Champion Stakes odds at Ladbrokes.com.au are led by Group 1 winning filly Yankee Rose ($2.70).

The only other Black-Type on the card is the 2016 Angst Stakes for the mares where two scratchings leave 10 runners including market mover Dixie Blossoms ($4 into $3.20) and the Peter & Paul Snowden-trained Extensible ($3.20) who are co-favourites.
