The weather in Sydney for The Everest Day 2019 is fine and with little chance of any real rainfall the current Good (4) Randwick track rating should remain across the card making for ideal racing conditions.
Randwick racing kicks off at 12:30pm (AEDT) and the huge 10-race program continues through until 6:10pm.
Of course the race all the racing fans are trackside in Sydney to see is the $14 million The Everest (1200m), the world’s richest turf race set to run as Randwick Race 7 at 4:15pm.
The original 12-horse The Everest 2019 field is intact for the third edition of the weight-for-age buy-in feature.
The Everest betting at Ladbrokes.com.au has the highly-rated Santa Ana Lane ($4.60) tipped as the one to beat, the five-time Group 1 champion looking to atone for his unplaced effort in the race on a Heavy track 12 months ago.
The dangers are the Chris Waller-trained Arcadia Queen ($5) looking to prove her ability at the shorter distance and the rails-drawn stallion prospect Pierata ($7) coming off The Shorts win.
The other lucrative Special Condition event on the card is the $1.3 million The Kosciuszko (1200m) for the NSW country-trained horses, betting at Ladbrokes.com.au firmly led by Victorem ($2.60).
