G1 winner Secret Agenda among 2018 Hall Mark Stakes nominations

Secret Agenda heads up the twelve nominations for the Hall Mark Stakes but the Group 1 winning mare is also entered for the Listed $120,000 Ladbrokes Bel Esprit Stakes (1100m) at Caulfield and for the Group 3 $120,000 Hughes Limousines R N Irwin Stakes (1100m) at Morphettville on Saturday.

Price is eyeing off a second win in the Group 1 $1m Robert Sangster Stakes (1200m) at Morphettville on May 5 for Secret Agenda and is leaning towards running her in the Bel Esprit Stakes on her home track before heading to Adelaide.

“Secret Agenda, I want to run her in the Sangster, which is the race she won last year,” Price told racing.com.

“The Sangster is two weeks from next Saturday so I’m not sure I should be taking her to Adelaide and then bringing her back and then doing it all over again two weeks later so she’ll probably stay and race here and then go over for the $1million race.”

Trainers Peter and Paul Snowden have one nominations for the Hall Mark Stakes, seven year old Dothraki who has been racing consistently in his current campaign with a win and two seconds from four race starts.

The Mossman gelding has actually finished second across the line from his last three starts but two runs back gained the race in the stewards’ room after his rider Tye Angland successfully protested against first across the line Sprightly Lass for interference at the 100m in the Group 3 $150,000 Maurice McCarten Stakes (1100m) at Rosehill on March 17.

The Chris Waller trained New Universe was a close up third in the same race and is also nominated for the Hall Mark Stakes.
