Myer Classic next for Tristarc Stakes winner Global Glamour

Global Glamour was the third leg of a winning treble for Tulloch Lodge co-trainers Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott following wins by Our Crown Mistress in the Resimax Group Plate (1400m) and with Pinot in the Group 3 $150,000 New Zealand Bloodstock Ethereal Stakes (2000m).

Waterhouse and Bott have produced Global Glamour ($9.50) to win first up over 1400m and the Star Witness mare showed all her fighting spirit to get the judge’s nod in a tight finish over $21 chance Cool Passion.

The Chris Waller trained Shillelagh ($14) ran well for third while her stablemate, the $4.20 favourite Foxplay, never threatened and wound up in seventh spot.

Waterhouse said that Global Glamour will now head towards to the Group 1 $500,000 Myer Classic (1600m) at Flemington on November 4, the first day of the 2017 Melbourne Cup Carnival.

“She came down to go to the Myer and she may go to the Matriarch,” Waterhouse said.

“She is only coming here for two, maybe three runs and then will freshen up and go to the Magic Millions.”

“And then hopefully she might be going overseas.”

Global Glamour was invited to go to Royal Ascot in England last year but connections declined but Waterhouse said the trip could be on this year after the Magic Millions.
