2016 Eye Liner Stakes Odds and Betting Update

A talented field of thirteen sprinters has been confirmed for Saturday’s Listed Eye Liner Stakes (1350m) at Ipswich Racecourse; offering punters exceptional value from a betting standpoint and several key opportunities to place a winning wager.

Trubia has returned to racing in competitive form this time and remains an outright $3.40 favourite in 2016 Eye Liner Stakes betting markets with leading online bookie Ladbrokes.com.au.

Claiming six wins and five minors through only fifteen career starts so far, Trubia returned this time for success in a Toowoomba minor over 1200m before running a handy third in the Pertronic Industries Plate (1350m) on April 30th.

Having since finished fourth in the Group 3 BRC Sprint (1350m) and a luckless eighth in last weekend’s Group 2 QTC Cup (1300m), the Show A Heart entire will leave from the rails draw with in-form hoop Michael Cahill aboard, and will carry only 54kgs in the Eye Liner Stakes.

Saluter could very well receive the run of the race on Saturday from the ideal barrier 4 and currently figures as the sole occupant of the second line of Eye Liner Stakes betting at $7.50 odds.

A typically-consistent performer through a summer campaign, Saluter ran a close second to Fontelina in the Listed Lough Neagh Stakes (1350m) on December 12th before placing fourth in the Listed Goldmarket Quality (1300m) on Boxing Day.

Returning to the paddock after placing ninth in the Magic Millions Cup (1400m), the Commands gelding returned this time for an impressive win in the Designer Decks & Patios Handicap (1000m) on May 15th.

Steel Zip is yet to herald much interest in 2016 Eye Liner Stakes betting markets, but remains sole occupant at a particularly generous quote of $9 for success or $3 to finish in the first three.

Undoubtedly the stable star of Deagon-based trainer Pat Duff, Steel Zip produced a number of typically smart efforts through an autumn and summer campaign, peaking with success in the Listed Keith Noud Quality (1200m) and third in the Magic Millions Plate (1300m).

Steel Zip is a noted first-up performer, and the Canadian Silver gelding should prove very tough to beat in the Eye Liner Stakes from barrier 2.

Sydney raider Ninth Legion represents terrific value for money at Eye Liner Stakes odds of $10, while Time To Plunder is also worth consideration at a $16 quote to win or $4.70 to place.
