A capacity field of fourteen fillies and mares has been confirmed for Saturday’s Group 3 Godolphin Crown (1300m) at Hawkesbury; highlighted by the inclusion of several exciting Autumn Carnival performers.

Peter & Paul Snowden are offered a good opportunity to quinella the race after confirming both Artistry and Nancy in the 2016 Godolphin Crown field, as well as stable mate Mahara.
Finishing outside the first three only a handful of times through thirteen career starts, Artistry capped a typically strong 2015 campaign with three-consecutive wins in Sydney minors over 1500m and a mile.
Resuming this time for fourth in the Group 3 Wenona Girl Quality (1200m) on March 5th, the Shamardal mare mustered a scintillating turn of foot to win the Group 3 Newcastle Newmarket Handicap (1350m) on March 19th.
While unable to match the late pace in the Group 1 Queen Of The Turf Stakes (1600m) last time out, Artistry will relish a step back in class in the 2016 Godolphin Crown.
Posting three wins and a further four minors through only nine career starts so far, Nancy carries excellent form into the Godolphin Crown and will be very hard to beat from the ideal barrier 3.
Resuming for third in the Schweppes BM84 (1200m), the Big Brown mare progressed to second behind Artistry in the Newcastle Newmarket Handicap before running fourth amongst classy company in the Royal Randwick 100 (1400m) a fortnight ago.
Press Report has claimed a few good results this time and should be well suited to the conditions of the Godolphin Crown on Saturday.
Resuming this time for a close second in the Group 2 Breeders’ Classic (1200m) at Randwick in early February, Press Report progressed to fourth in the Group 2 Millie Fox Stakes (1300m) but failed to handle the tempo when ninth in the Wenona Girl Quality.
Having responded competitively for fifth in the E-Group Security BM83 (1200m) last time out, the Written Tycoon mare will enjoy a return to 1300m on Saturday.
Chris Waller has confirmed both She’s Clean (barrier 12) and Sense And Reason (barrier 7) in the 2016 Godolphin Crown field, whole John O’Shea has confirmed only one Godolphin representative in their namesake event; Fitou (barrier 6).
