A talented and capacity field of sixteen plus one emergency has been confirmed for Saturday’s featured 2016 Golden Slipper (1200m) at Rosehill Gardens Racecourse, highlighted by the inclusion of the country’s best two-year-olds.

Mick Price will launch a two-pronged attack in the Group 1 race after confirming leading contenders Extreme Choice (barrier 7) and Flying Artie (barrier 5) in the 2016 Golden Slipper field.

Flying Artie savaged the line for second in the Blue Diamond Stakes last start and could very well receive the run of the race in the Golden Slipper after finally drawing favourably.

Debuting for a strong second in the Group 3 Maribyrnong Plate (1000m) on November 7^th, Flying Artie resumed this time for success in the Group 3 Blue Diamond Prelude C&G (1100m) on February 13^th in what was his only other competitive start so far.

Champion hoop Damien Oliver has a huge opinion of the son of Artie Schiller and is confident he is primed to win the 2016 Golden Slipper.
