Running down the Flemington straight, favourite Dubleanny won the $100,000 race from Valentine Miss and Big Spirit.
Big Spirit took the lead from the jump with Psychologist settling into second and Dubleanny third. With 300m to go Dubleanny started her run and moved up to be with Big Spirit before pulling away. Valentine Miss put in a good run in the final straight to grab second from Big Spirit.
First up this preparation, Dubleanny looked strong and fit. Trainer Mick Price said that the four-year-old mare will be spot on in three weeks time for the Group 1 Robert Sangster Stakes at Morpettville on Saturday 26 March.
Dubleanny will surely be one of the favourites when betting opens for the 2011 Robert Sangster Stakes after today’s impressive run. Join Luxbet today to get the best odds and a great $400 free bet offer.
