The 2024 VRC Oaks Day is contested on a Thursday in early to mid-November two days after the world-class Melbourne Cup is run and won as part of the Melbourne Cup Carnival.

Formerly known as Crown Oaks Day and from 2017 onwards run as Kennedy Oaks Day for sponsorship, VRC Oaks Day is Day 3 of the Melbourne Cup Carnival and is referred to as ‘Ladies Day’. As much about the trackside fashion as the spring racing, VRC Oaks Day is of course headlined by the three-year-old fillies facing off in the Group 1 $1 million VRC Oaks (2500m).

2024 VRC Oaks Day will take place on Thursday, November 7, 2024.

The VRC Oaks, now the Kennedy Oaks, is the only Group 1 race on the day but VRC Oaks Day still features plenty of other popular betting races.
