Set to run as Royal Randwick Race 4 at 2:05pm (AEST), this season’s $125,000 Listed Dulcify Quality (1600m) features a field of 10 gallopers with the latest markets at Ladbrokes.com.au led by the Chris Waller-trained Octavian Augustus.

Drawn the rails with Craig Williams to ride the Husson colt, Octavian Augustus comes off a first-up third when under a length off Embley over 1300m at Warwick Farm on September 14.

He is tipped to improve getting out over the mile for the first time even going up in weight to 57.5kg.

The Waller factor could be swaying the early Dulcify Quality betting with Octavian Augustus backed in from $3.60 to $3.50 already.

Waller has also accepted for Earth drawn the opposite end of the field out in barrier 10, but carrying the same 57.5kg with Hugh Bowman in the saddle.

A well-tried Redoute’s Choice colt, Earth only broke his maiden status at start number five on September 17 at Newcastle saluting over 1350m carrying 58kg.

He is Group 2 performed in Brisbane over the winter failing to make an impression, but looks to have come back bigger and stronger this campaign and pays $9.50 to win second-up.

Occupying the second line of betting at $5 is the 59kg top weight Calabasas from the Wyong stables of Kim Waugh.

The son of Snitzel is proving a perennial placegetter having run second in all three of his runs this time in.

Last start he carted 59.5kg over 1300m at Beaumont Racecourse and was brave in defeat crossing just a neck away to Acatour.

Close in the markets at $5.50 but on the 54kg minimum is the John O’Shea-trained Reset colt Nemrud for the powerhouse Godolphin stables.

He remains a maiden after four starts and is out to improve on a close sixth when 1.6 lengths off the winner Cross Stitch in his first mile run at Warwick Farm on September 21.

Also at single-figures are the Team Hawkes-trained Sebring filly Bring Me The Bling ($8) and Hessdalen ($8.50) coming of a 1500m win at Hawkesbury as the favourite for local trainer Michael Freedman.

At more generous odds but with genuine claims at the title is the value bet Our Belisa ($12), the John Thompson-trained daughter of Lope De Vega having saluted over the Kembla Grange mile three weeks back in her second start at the distance.
