Sydney’s Royal Randwick Racecourse is host to a bumper 10 race card for Apollo Stakes Day 2020, the meeting’s full race scratchings and an updated track report detailed below.

The heavy rainfall has eased in Sydney but with over 320mm hitting the course over the past week there is unlikely to be any upgrade to the current Soft (7) Randwick track rating.
Randwick racing gets underway at 12:15pm (AEDT) and continues through until the last at 5:50pm (AEDT).
The meeting is headlined by four Group status races, the first of which is Race 5 with seven remaining runners taking on the proven mudlark Jungle Edge ($3.60 @ Ladbrokes.com.au) in the Group 3 $160,000 2020 Southern Cross Stakes (1200m) following the scratching of #3 Lanciato (4).
The Surround Stakes-bound fillies do battle in Race 7 with the full 11 final acceptors led in betting by the returning Libertini ($1.90 @ Ladbrokes.com.au) who is into odds-on territory to win the Group 2 $200,000 2020 Light Fingers Stakes (1200m).
The marquee event of the afternoon is next-up with 10 weight-for-age gallopers engaged in the Group 2 $250,000 2020 Apollo Stakes (1400m) including four for trainer Chris Waller who chases his fifth straight win in the race and sixth overall.
The Group 3 $160,000 2020 Triscay Stakes (1200m) for the older mares is the last of the Black-Type races on the card with 13 still in the mix after Matthew Dale withdrew #9 Notation (8).
