Due to run as Race 6 at 2:25pm (AEST) on Day 2 of ‘The Championships’, this year’s Group 1 $1 million Australian Oaks (2400m) field features all 13 original final acceptors.
Betting on the Australian Oaks at Ladbrokes.com.au is a wide-open affair this Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival with five under $10 for the win.
Two are battling for top spot in ATC Oaks betting with the Chris Waller-trained Unforgotten easing favourite ($3.50 to $4.50) ahead of the big market mover Hiyaam ($7 into $4.80).
Jockey Hugh Bowman, who later rides star stablemate Winx for her shot at win number 25 on the trot in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes, partners Waller’s in-form Fastnet Rock filly Unforgotten from gate seven.
Her last start produced a second to the Mick Price-trained Hiyaam in the Group 1 Vinery Stud Stakes (2000m) at Rosehill a fortnight back, a race that last produced an ATC Oaks winner in Rising Romance (4th in 2014).
Michael Dee stays aboard High Chaparral filly Hiyaam who chases the double drawing barrier one for the second time on the trot, the spring’s VRC Oaks third placegetter seeing Randwick for the first time in the ATC Oaks.

#4 Savvy Coup ($7)
Going the Kiwis again and have the NZ Oaks winner on top for her Australian race debut. The NZ Oaks – ATC Oaks double was completed by Bonneval (2017) last year and Savvy Coup is a danger to do it again here. Proven at the distance, drawn well in barrier two, handles a Good track (7:4-1-1) so doesn’t need it to be wet and the form from across the Tasman can stack-up.

#5 Luvaluva ($5.50)
John Sargent’s filly is flying and is on the quick back-up after her tenacious win with 60kg last Saturday in the Group 3 Adrian Knox Stakes (2000m). She is up in distance and grade, but back to 56kg at set weights she will love. Drawn wide, but ran third in the VRC Oaks (2500m) last sprint from double digits and can finish in the money again here with the weight drop.
3rd
#3 Unforgotten ($4.50)
Deserving favourite after two good runs beating the boys in the Phar Lap Stakes and then crossing second in the Vinery Stud Stakes. Needs to prove herself at the distance though, her winning form only extending to 1500m to date. Still, ticks plenty of boxes and pedigree suggests she will handle 2400m.
