It is a cloudy but fine day in for the latest Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival meeting and with no chance of rainfall the current Good (4) Randwick track rating should stay put making for a perfect day’s racing.

Randwick Saturday racing kicks off at 12:45pm (AEDT) and the nine-race card continues through until 6:20pm (AEDT).

Plenty of punters will be tuning in after Race 3 (2:00pm) when two-time Apollo Stakes winner Winx is put through her paces by Hugh Bowman in a simulated race ahead of her rescheduled first-up run on March 3 in the Group 1 $600,000 Chipping Norton Stakes (1600m).

The meeting’s namesake and the event Winx was originally going to kick-off in is the 2018 Apollo Stakes (Race 6) where an eight-horse field remains after the early withdrawal of Carrington Stakes winner Lanciato.

An exciting line-up of three-year-old fillies face off in the meeting’s major support act, the 2018 Light Fingers Stakes (Race 8), won last year by Global Glamour.

There are 11 remaining chances in the Light Fingers Stakes field including the returning Alizee after four scratchings, most notably the Peter & Paul Snowden-trained Warranty.
