Ready For Victory ($3.30) has more than stamped his claims as one to watch through an impressive racing career so far and remains outright favourite in 2015 Caulfield Guineas Prelude betting markets at Ladbrokes.com.au ahead of Bon Aurum ($8.50) and Tulsa ($9.50).
Is Mick Price’s quality three-year-old Ready For Victory in the Caulfield Guineas Prelude or will one of his talented rivals find the line in the clear?
1st
Bon Aurum ($8.50)
Bon Aurum convincingly beat a talent-rich field to the line in the Listed Pin & Win Stakes (1400m) a fortnight ago and will be very hard to beat in the Caulfield Guineas Prelude, despite a somewhat awkward draw in barrier 11. Debuting for fourth in an Echuca minor over 1200m on June 29th, Bon Aurum has progressed in leaps and bounds typically of a three-year-old trained by Ciaron Maher; placing third in the E Dunkley & J Lee BM70 (1400m) and second in a Sandown minor over 1200m in the weeks leading up to the Pin & Win Stakes. Kerrin McEvoy has been confirmed to take the ride on the colt in the Caulfield Guineas Prelude.

Ready For Victory ($3.30)
Ready For Victory announced his arrival immediately upon debuting to racing in autumn and is undoubtedly one of the class horses of the 2015 Caulfield Guineas Prelude field. Winning the Listed Festival Of Racing 1000 (1000m) before running on for fourth in the Group 1 Golden Slipper (1200m), the More Than Ready colt returned this time for second in the Group 3 McNeil Stakes (1200m) before running a credible third in the Group 2 Danehill Stakes (1200m) last time out. Confirmed to be partnered by Damien Oliver, Ready For Victory will leave from barrier 9.
3rd
Metallic Crown ($16)
Metallic Crown will be seeking a third-consecutive win in the 2015 Caulfield Guineas Prelude and arguably offers punters the best value for money at current $16 odds for success or $4.90 to finish in the first three. Debuting for third in the Tab.com.au Maiden (1200m) on July 29th, the Northern Meteor colt progressed to second in the Schweppes Maiden Plate (1250m) and success in the TAB Place Multi Handicap (1300m) before making a successful transition to black type racing in taking out the Group 3 Ming Dynasty Quality (1400m) last time out.
