Betting markets for this Saturday’s $500,000 Group 1 Rosehill Guineas (2000m) have been released with Kiwi galloper Jimmy Choux leading the early odds for the staying showdown.
Premier online bookmaker Luxbet have installed the Thorn Park colt, winner of the Group 1 New Zealand Derby (2400m) last start on March 5, at the top of their Rosehill Guineas odds.
Having won their past four starts at Group level in New Zealand, Jimmy Choux is in a prime position to become the Rosehill Guineas winner on Saturday at his debut Australian start.
Sitting at a current quote of $3.80, in already from their opening price of $3.90 at Luxbet, Jimmy Choux is set to start from barrier six in the 13-horse field, cut from 14 with the early scratching of #3 Pressday.

Jimmy Choux is also one of the top fancies in the futures markets for the $1.5 million Group 1 Australian Derby (2400m) at Randwick on April 23 paying $6 through Luxbet.
Four other Rosehill Guineas contenders are at single-figure odds to win on Saturday with AJC Australian Derby favourite Absolutelyawesome the next shortest-priced runner paying $4.60 through Luxbet.
Drawn in barrier seven and due to be ridden by hoop of the moment Glen Boss, the Michael Moroney-trained Absolutelyawesome last ran a game fourth to Ilovethiscity in the Group 1 Randwick Guineas (1600m) and will be having their maiden start over 2000m and at Rosehill.
The other early favourites to become the Rosehill Guineas winner are the Peter Snowden-trained Retrieve ($6 Luxbet), Gai Waterhouse’s Randwick Guineas third placegetter Light Brigade ($5.40) and the only filly in the field Shamrocker ($8), coming off an upset win in the Group 1 Australian Guineas (1600m) at Flemington.
The 2011 Flinders Lane Rosehill Guineas is due to jump at 4:10pm (AEDST) on Saturday running as Rosehill Race 7.
