Racing in Sydney today on Boxing day is at Royal Randwick where the track is currently rated a Good 2 which is rarely seen these days and weather is overcast. The feature event today is the running of the Group 3 $125,000 Summer Cup over 2400 Meters. The support card of racing looks to be good with some solid betting races.

Race 1 sees Sincero backing up after 8 days with 60.5 kg on his back , which is 2.5 heavier than last start , in early markets with Luxbet they went up $1.80 and they got crunched and is now $1.55 , this will be his 4th run in about 4 weeks and we just have to pot him , he is a great horse and on the way up but at those odds and having being asked to carry weight and keep backing up he has to get tired , the rest are pretty even but we will put Teardrop Rock on top and at $10 with Luxbet  is great value , trained on the track and will race on the pace , you cant help but think Gai has set her for this. We really like the favorite as a horse but think connections are being a little greedy backing him up again and hope they don’t injure the horse.

Race 2 and we think Gai will just win this with Flying Success if she is right  , but watch betting , normally if they are right the money comes but at the moment the horse has eased from $1.95 to $2.10 , if she keeps getting out in the market then Warpath $5 into $4.80 will knock it off , anything can run third.

Race 3 is a hard race to line up but watch betting moves ,  the interesting runner is the Clarry Conners trained runner Bright Heart which ran an ordinary 7th on debut and was examined by the vet , obviously the horse is better than that and has been backed from $10 into $7 in early markets. It has the luxury of barrier 1. Schiffer is the current favorite well supported at $3.40 but will need alot of luck from barrier 14 and the Snowden trained Benfica won ok but in slow time on debut.

Race 4 sees Atomic Force the favorite and does look hard to beat at $3 we think it is a fair bet. Pins on Parade is a class horse and has a claim to bring it down to 58 kg which does put it into the race and for third Cardinal Virtue because we cant tip Lighthorseman even though it is likely to be well supported as usual.

Race 5 is a good 3 yearold race with some Magic Millions prospects running here and we think we have a special in Posh Chic at $9 in current markets and the only filly in the race , gets in on the minimum with 53 kg , this horse is alot better than her form suggests and her form isnt that bad ! Drawn well and will be handy , should look the winner at some point.  Rampart in for second and the Queenslander Havatryst in for third , Stratford has been well supported at odds coming in from $21 to $15

Race 6 in the Summer Cup over the Randwick 2400 and its an average field , Beijing Boy is favorite and well supported from $4.2 into $3.6 into $3.3 its a good go , but we like Rock Kingdom , trained on the track and is clearly the class runner and the horse is due this campaign , will be spot on for this to beat Strike One currently $6 with Luxbet and Alexander of Hales , Wallers roughie of his 4 runners.

Race 7 ask your kids to pick 3 numbers between 1 and 10 box them in a trifecta and watch the cricket for 30 minutes.

Race 8 Throw 50% of your winnings on Triple Elegance , looks well places her with Nash on board and Waller’s team have been firing. There is a big watch on Therock but as it is first up watch TVN closely to see its condition in the mounting yard and watch the pre race interview with Gerald Ryan to gauge his confidence.
