Early betting moves suggest Mekong Miss is the horse to beat , after opening at $5 odds have firmed into $4.20 and looks race looks alot more suitable than the Railway Stakes for this consistent mare. In contrast Mabel Grace has eased from even money out to $2.25. Mabel Grace likes the 1400 meters having raced over the distance 3 times for 2 wins after leading all the way and a second , the small field could see the 4 year old mare sitting right on the leaders back and hitting the line hard.

Mekong Miss has raced over 1400 meters 9 times for 5 wins and has won 6 from 11 at this track. She has struggled when they have broken 1.22 for the 1400 meters where as the favorite Mabel Grace has won in under 1.22 , and our tip is for her to do it again , both horses are fit and well and we think the younger 4 year old is on the way up and has the time on the board.
