After Victoria Derby Day kicked off on a Good track at Flemington this morning, rain has started to come down at the famous Victorian course the ground conditions softening dramatically and more wet weather forecast.
The track is currently at Slow 6 but word trackside is that is it really starting to teem down and soon Flemington will be rated Heavy.
The $1.5 million Group 1 Victoria Derby (2500m) is due to jump next at 2:55pm (AEDST) and savvy punters will be looking to back the known wet trackers and Heavy performers in the Derby odds.
In the 2010 Victoria Derby – Race 6 at Flemington – the known wet trackers to back are:
- #1 Retrieve – $3.90 equal favourite at Luxbet
- #6 Yulalona – $41 Luxbet
- #3 Lion Tamer – $13 Luxbet
