Midweek race meetings continue today with provincial horse racing in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia.
There will be Thursday midweek racing at Geelong, Gosford and Northam as well as 100 Club Race Day at Callaghan Park in Rockhampton and Ronnie Neill Memorial Day at Port Augusta.
Racing was originally scheduled today for Bendigo, but this race meet has been transferred to the Geelong Synthetic track. The track at Bendigo was deemed unsafe by stewards yesterday afternoon because of surface water in several sections. Bendigo has received 46mm of rain in the last week and had another 8mm yesterday.
Geelong, Gosford, Port Augusta and Northam all have 8 races running today, while Rockhampton will run 7 races.
Currently the weather in Geelong ranging from fine to overcast and the track is rated good, in Gosford the weather is also fine with a good track, in Rockhampton it is showery with a dead track, in Port Augusta it is overcast but the track is good, and in Northam in the West it is fine today with a good track.
Racing will kick off at Geelong in Victoria at 12:30 (AEST) with Race 1 Mantra Hotels Resorts Mdn 1000m. Today’s racing will finish up with the Jinx King Hcp (64) 1300m, Race 8 at Northam in the Avon Valley of Western Australia, at 18:39 (AEST).
