The airborne Peter Snowden trained Raging Force is clear favourite to continue his winning streak with success in the 2025 Run To The Rose at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday.
A key lead-up to the $1 million Golden Rose Stakes back at the track on September 27, this year’s Group 2 $300,000 Run To The Rose (1200m) field has drawn a deep and capacity field of gun three-year-olds.

The ultra-consistent son of Cosmic Force made it four wins on the trot last time out winning the Group 3 San Domenico (1100m) at the track by over a length, albeit by a larger margin than he perhaps should have after causing interference to the luckless runner-up Wodeton.
He is now well supported in the markets at Ladbrokes.com.au paying $3.10 and firming fast to be the first since Va Pensiero (2013) to complete the San Domenico – Run To The Rose double.
Two-from-two at Rosehill, Raging Force is drawn mid-field in gate eight with Zac Lloyd coming aboard for the ride replacing Tommy Berry in the saddle.
Snowden enjoyed back-to-back wins in the event with Desuetude (2008) and Denman (2009) and looks to have a genuine chance to add another victory to his CV.
Raging Force is currently rated a $15 shot in futures Golden Rose 2025 betting with that price set to firm should he win for the punters on the weekend.
The danger occupying the second line of betting for Saturday’s feature in Sydney at $5 is the Chris Waller trained Wodeton who is after atonement following that San Domenico Stakes second with excuses.
The classy colt is building an imposing Rosehill track record (4:1-2-1) including finishing just a neck back second behind Marhoona in the Golden Slipper as a two-year-old in the autumn.
James McDonald was full of praise after his run fresh where things didn’t go his way.
“He has gone enormous, the horse. If he didn’t have a check he would have probably gone close,” the hoop said.
Jason Collett comes aboard this weekend with J-Mac in Melbourne for Makybe Diva Stakes Day and, even from wider out in gate 11, he looks a huge hope to turn the tables on his last start conqueror.
Tempted is the other major player following closely at Run To The Rose odds of $5.50 for Ciaron Maher who is after his first win in the event.
The daughter of Street Boss is out to be the first Run To The Rose winning filly since In Secret (2022) and races first-up on the weekend off an eye-catching Randwick trial from September 2.
She was last seen beating recent Silver Shadow winner Savvy Hallie and Group 1 Champagne Stakes runner-up Within The Law home in the Group 2 Percy Sykes Stakes, which has proven a strong form race.
Third in the Golden Slipper the run prior, Tempted is all class and looks every hope to return stronger again as a three-year-old kicking off over a distance she’s been very good at so far (4:2-0-1).
Skyhook for Gerald Ryan & Sterling Alexiou rounds out the single figure hopes at $9.50.
The Written Tycoon colt is drawn to get the run of the race from barrier three, has Kerrin McEvoy booked for the ride once more, and shapes up as a genuine value threat down in weight after carting 60.5kg to victory fresh in a muddy edition of The Rosebud last start.
Other notable hopes and potential value in the markets include Team Hawkes resuming Champagne Stakes champ Nepotism ($11) and the stable’s rails-drawn Blue Diamond winner Devil Night ($21).
The 2025 Run To The Rose is set to run as Rosehill Race 8 at 4:00pm (AEST).
