The star Godolphin-raced colt Anamoe is tipped to atone for his last start loss as the beaten favourite currently at an odds-on quote for Saturday’s 2022 Rosehill Guineas.

Golden Slipper Stakes Day highlights the Sydney racing action this weekend with the meeting featuring five elite level races including the Group 1 $600,000 Sky Racing Active Rosehill Guineas (2000m).
A small but class line-up of nine three-year-olds is engaged in the Rosehill Guineas field this autumn with the James Cummings-trained son of Street Boss, Anamoe, the one to beat.
Winner of the Caulfield Guineas and devastatingly close Cox Plate runner-up during a stellar spring, Anamoe is fourth-up and rock-hard fit for his Rosehill Guineas assignment this weekend.
After winning the Group 2 Hobartville Stakes (1400m) at this track second-up, the classy colt failed to salute for the punters when narrowly beaten in an upset by Converge in the Group 1 Randwick Guineas (1600m).
He will get a firmer track in the potential rematch with his last start conqueror and is better suited to the step-up to 2000m.
Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott’s Randwick Guineas winner Converge is also officially accepted for the Rosehill Guineas where the Frankel gelding could get the chance to complete the double for the first time since The Autumn Sun (2019).
He is a dual acceptor for Slipper Day however also in the mix to take on the older horses in the Group 1 $1 million George Ryder Stakes (1500m) over less distance with a final decision from the stable pending.
Understandably, Anamoe and Converge dominate the Rosehill Guineas betting markets at Ladbrokes.com.au paying $1.95 and $3.70 respectively and are drawn alongside each other in gates nine and eight.
The close third elect looking for an upset at $5.50 from barrier six with Hugh Bowman booked for ride is the Richard Litt-trained Profondo.
Winner of the Group 1 Spring Champion Stakes (2000m) over this distance at Randwick with a big two length victory last October, the Deep Impact colt was disappointing fresh at Flemington when 13th to Hitotsu in the Group 1 Australian Guineas (1600m).
Back in Sydney with a run under his belt and the extra two furlongs in the Rosehill edition and he looks a genuine top three chance.
Bowman chases his fourth Rosehill Guineas victory since 2006 having enjoyed recent success aboard: He’s No Pie Eater (2007), Criterion (2014) and D’Argento (2018).
Last of the single-figure Rosehill Guineas fancies this season at $9.50 is the Trent Busuttin & Natalie Young-trained Forgot You in gate four for jockey Mark Zahra.
Savabeel colt Forgot You is after his first victory since the Group 2 Moonee Valley Vase (2040m) over a similar distance in Melbourne on Cox Plate Eve last year, after which he was far from disgraced when fifth to Hitotsu in the Group 1 Victoria Derby (2500m).
He has had two lead-up runs producing back-to-back Flemington fourths, the latest in the Australian Guineas, and is yet to race in Sydney ahead of the Rosehill feature.
The 2022 Rosehill Guineas is set to run as Rosehill Race 6 at 3:15pm (AEDT) on Saturday and the latest markets courtesy of Ladbrokes.com.au are available in full here.
