Flemington racing gets underway on Super Saturday with the Group 3 Thoroughbred Breeders Stakes (1200m) at 12:35pm (AEDT) where #12 Winnertakesitall (5), #13 Habeebati (2) and #15 La Danseuse Rouge (14) come out off the two-year-old fillies’ showdown.

The action continues at 1:10pm (AEDT) with the Group 3 Matron Stakes (1600m) for the mares and #2 Yes Baby Yes (1) and #7 Promise Of Success (5) are both out in favour of a run in Sydney’s Group 1 Coolmore Classic (1500m) this afternoon.

There’s a quality field of two-year-olds engaged in the Group 2 VRC Sires’ Produce Stakes at 2:20pm (AEDT) where betting at Ladbrokes.com.au has the rails-drawn Sir Bailey as the narrow favourite.

The three-year-old fillies with an eye on bigger upcoming races in Sydney are next in the other Group 2 support act, the 2022 Kewney Stakes field down to 10 with #8 Pretty Amazing (11) out and markets led by the progressive Argentia.

There’s a double-shot of elite level racing on the program of course and the first is the Group 1 $1.5 million Newmarket Handicap (1200m) down the famous straight at 3:40pm (AEDT).

The 2022 Newmarket Handicap field has 17 hopeful sprinters and markets are a two-horse affair between last start Black Caviar Lightning winner Home Affairs and fellow and the John O’Shea-trained Lost And Running.

The weight-for-age Group 1 $1.5 million Australian Cup (2000m) is slated for Flemington Race 7 at 4:20pm (AEDT) and features an equally top-class field led by the ultra-consistent Think It Over.

The last of the Group status races and penultimate event on the card is the Group 3 Shaftesbury Avenue Handicap (1400m) at 5:00pm (AEDT) and #2  Groundswell (9) and #8 Aim (6) have come out.

See below for the complete Flemington Super Saturday race program and scratchings before heading to Ladbrokes.com.au for the autumn’s top racing odds and offers.
