The Patrick Payne trained Chamois Road’s chances of claiming a hat trick of wins has been dampened after the five year old drew barrier nineteen in the original draw but will move in four spots if all the emergencies fail to gain a start.

Luke Nolen will be having his first race ride on Chamois Road who is undefeated from two race starts this campaign for apprentice Mitchell Aitken and after winning first over 1250m in a BenchMark 90 Handicap at Morphettville Parks in Adelaide, made it two in a row with his win over 1400m in a Handicap at Flemington on June 23.

Chamois Road is yet to win beyond 1400m but did run second  over 1600m at Morphettville in the Listed $100,000 C S Hayes Memorial Cup on March 12.

The Lindsay Park Team of David and Ben Hayes and Tom Dabernig will saddle up three runners in the Winter Championship Series Final with Mihany coming up trumps drawing the rails with Noel Callow booked to ride.

Mihany likes to race on the pace and Callow will have no worries finding a prominent spot from the inside gate.

The stable’s veteran galloper Jacquinot Bay is certain to get a nice run after drawing barrier seven with Cory Parish to ride the ten year old while stablemate Cool Chap has drawn next to him in eight for Andrew Mallyon.

Jacquinot Bay keeps defying the odds and will head to Flemington as a last start winner at The Valley over 1600m while Cool Chap finished in the runner’s up stale last start over 1400m at Flemington.

Darren Weir has accepted with three horses, Ozi Choice (Damian Lane, barrier ten), Raw Impulse (Ben Allen, barrier sixteen) while Silentz is the first emergency with Dean Yendall booked to ride from barrier two.

Both of trainer Ciaron Maher’s acceptors have drawn double figure barriers with Kaching, Ben Thompson, drawing barrier fifteen in the original draw while second emergency Lite’n In My Veins coming up with thirteen for Michael Dee.

Chris Waller’s only runner Amovatio has drawn out wide at seventeen with Michael Walker in the saddle.
