Day 2 of The Championships has drawn some of the Autumn Racing Carnival’s best horses to Royal Randwick this afternoon and four Group 1 feature races headline a particularly impressive ten race card, including Winx’s appearance in the 2017 Queen Elizabeth Stakes.
We will be covering The Championships Day 2 results throughout the afternoon and we are set for a very exciting day of racing.
All the action on Day 2 of The Championships will get underway with the running of the Listed Fernhill Handicap (1600m) for two-year-olds at 11:30am and will officially conclude after the Group 2 Sapphire Stakes (1200m) is contested at 5:15pm.
Smart filly Whispered Secret has sustained a strong sprint in the final straight to win Race 1, the Listed Fernhill Handicap (1600m).
