Epingle ($4) is yet to experience much more than a sprinkling of bets for success in 2015 Tattersall’s Cup markets at Ladbrokes.com.au but remains outright favourite ahead of Faust ($4.40) and Mornington Cup champion Banca Mo ($5.50).

Will Epingle continue her good run of form on the Gold Coast and win the 2015 Tattersall’s Cup or will one of her talented rivals find the line in the clear?

1st

Faust ($4.40)

Faust carries winning form into the 2015 Tattersall’s Cup, is a proven performer over the distance and is sure to be boosted by jockey Zac Purton taking the ride. Finding excellent form over his current campaign, Faust won the Listed Canberra Cup (2000m) on March 8th and while luckless in his next two starts, has finished second in the Listed Wagga Cup (2000m) and won the Group 3 Premier’s Cup (2020m) most recently. Faust will need some luck in running from barrier 9 but will have no issue saluting with just 56.5kgs.

2nd

Shoreham ($14)

Shoreham will contest his first start for Gerald Ryan in the Tattersall’s Cup, but is a proven performer at the distance amongst talent-rich fields and is a great chance of delivering on double figure odds this weekend. Unlucky to be balloted out of the final field for the 2014 Melbourne Cup, the Reset gelding posted several competitive results for Saab Hasan through autumn; namely a third place finish in the Group 3 Easter Cup (2000m) and credible fifth in the Listed Warrnambool Cup (2350m). Brenton Avdulla will take the ride on Shoreham on Saturday, who will carry just 55.5kgs.

3rd

Epingle ($4)

Consistent mare Epingle won the Group 3 Chairman’s Handicap over course and distance on April 25th, has been confirmed to be partnered by regular hoop Hugh Bowman and is likely to receive the run of the race in the Tattersall’s Cup from barrier 2. While luckless and ninth in the Group 1 Doomben Cup (2000m) on May 9th, the Pins mare has since finished third in each of the Group 2 Eagle Farm Cup (2200m) and Group 2 Brisbane Cup (2200m) and appears primed for a competitive campaign swansong on Saturday.
