11 classy fillies and mares are set to contest the Group 3 Frances Tressady Stakes (1400m) at Flemington this Saturday after final acceptances were taken on Wednesday.

Headlining the field is the Robert Smerdon-trained Politeness, who will enjoy a midfield jump from barrier six with Nicholas Hall to ride.
The four-year-old mare won the Group 3 Summoned Stakes (1500m) by two lengths back in November at the end of her spring campaign. She resumed two months later in the Group 3 Bellmaine Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield on February 14, scoring a minor placing behind Tycoon Tara and Bonaria.
Politeness will shoulder the lone top weight of 58.5kg, which is up to four and a half kilos more than her ten rivals.
David Hayes & Tom Dabernig will deliver a dual-pronged attack on the 2015 Frances Tressady Stakes with Star Fashion and Girl Guide. The training duo has been given a great advantage in the race after their two runners drew the two inside barriers.
Star Fashion will enjoy the jump from barrier one with Michael Walker to ride. The four-year-old mare will get her first-up run in the Frances Tressady Stakes, not seen since finishing midfield in the Group 2 Momentum Energy Stakes (2000m) on November 8. The mare did enjoy a win in the Group 3 Ladies Day Vase (1600m) the month prior however.
Her stable mate Girl Guide will be in the next barrier with Dwayne Dunn as jockey. The five-year-old mare has won six of her 13 career starts, including the Group 3 Sportingbet Sprint (1200m) in September which was followed by two second placings in the Group 3 Sportingbet Series Final (1200m) and Group 2 Tristarc Stakes (1400m).
The mare has failed to place in any of her subsequent three starts, including her two runs this campaign.
Robbie Griffiths will also saddle two runners in the 2015 Frances Tressady Stakes – Girl In Flight and Nadeem Lass.
Four-year-old grey mare Girl In Flight is also running first-up on Saturday after finishing just a short half-head off winner Suavito in the Momentum Energy Stakes. While she is classier than her stable mate Nadeem Lass, Griffiths favours the latter due to her fitness.
Nadeem Lass has been unlucky to only win two of her 30 career starts and deserves a better statistic according to her trainer. The five-year-old mare was last seen running third in the Group 3 Vamos Stakes (1400m0 down at Launceston on February 18.
Nadeem Lass will jump from barrier eight with Chad Schofield while Girl In Flight will start in barrier 10 with Matthew Allen.
The Michael Ken-trained Scratchy Bottom will have to overcome a wide start from barrier 11 with Jackie Beriman to ride. The mare finished runner-up in the Group 1 South Australian Derby (2500m) last May but ran unplaced in all three of her spring starts.
