No Looking Back returned to racing with a bang at Rosehill on Tuesday and confirmed herself as a top 2013 Magic Millions Guineas contender when winning the Listed 2013 Carrington Stakes (1100m) at Rosehill.

Having her first start since April, the Gai Waterhouse-trained filly was the one to emerge at the front in a thrilling blanket finish in the New Year’s Day feature.

Waterhouse confirmed the three-year-old will now contest the $1 million event at the Gold Coast in January where she will have a chance to make amends for last year when she was beaten by Driefontein following a protest in the Magic Millions Classic.

“They were good horses she beat today in a race where I think she was poorly weighted,” Waterhouse said.

A daughter of Redoute’s Choice, No Looking Back excelled as a two-year-old as she also finished second in the Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes.

Tommy Berry was in the saddle for the sprinter’s return but is no certainty to ride her at the Gold Coast as Driefontein will also line up in the race.

“I don’t want to have any input and I will leave it to Gai,” Berry said.

No Looking Back is now a $14 chance for the Magic Millions Guineas, with Queensland colt Sizzling topping the market at $3.30 despite a shock defeat at Doomben on Saturday.

Others towards the top of the market include Driefontein ($5.50), Saturday’s Vo Rogue Plate winner Lucky Hussler ($8) and Robert Heathcote-trained gelding Heza Jetsetter ($10).
