Black Caviar’s Full Brother among 2011 Fireball Quality Handicap Nominations

A full brother to the world’s top-rated sprinter Black Caviar has been nominated for the $100,000 Listed Fireball Quality Handicap (1100m), one of four black-type features on the Silver Slipper Stakes Day card at Rosehill this Saturday February 26.

Three-year-old colt Moshe (by Bel Esprit from Helsinge), like his superstar sister Black Caviar, is yet to taste defeat on the track.

After storming to a six length victory over 1000m at Bendigo on debut back on November 6 last year, Moshe then made it two from two with another win in a sprint at Moonee Valley on November 26.

Prepared by the Michael, Wayne and John Hawkes training team, Moshe is out to maintain his flawless record first-up in the Fireball Quality this weekend.

The Rosehill-based galloper showed he had lost none of his spark over the break winning a barrier trial at his home track over 9000m by an easy four lengths on February 15.

Connections paid a reasonable $75,000 for Moshe as a yearling before the brilliance of Black Caviar became known to the world.

Moshe was one of 11 three-year-olds nominated for the Fireball Quality Handicap.

Other notable 2011 Fireball Quality Handicap Nominees include:
