2011 Magic Millions Fields Remain Strong as Roads Reopen for Travelling Horses

Today Racing Queensland announced that in a big boost for tomorrow’s 2011 Magic Millions Gold Coast Race Day all horses accepted will make it to the Gold Coast Racecourse including previously stranded horses from interstate and Toowoomba.

Due to the closure of many key roads around New South Wales and Queensland after the recent flooding, a number of Magic Millions-bound hopefuls looked likely of missing the Gold Coast’s richest race day.

However, with flood water receding and the reopening of roads all of the Magic Millions acceptors are now able to attend the race meeting tomorrow making for a truly top class day of racing and betting.

This is also good news for the many punters that have backed some of these out-of-state stars and Toowoomba gallopers at juicy odds through Luxbet.

The three previously stranded Sydney-trained horses now on their way to run in tomorrow’s major feature race, the $2 million Magic Millions 2YO Classic, are General Nediym filly Combat Kitty ($15), the Chris Waller-trained Fast And Sexy ($21) and David Payne’s colt Snippets Of Glory ($17).

With all three now set to race expect odds on the trio to shorten, so now is the time to back them at Luxbet!

Second favourite behind unbeaten filly Karuta Queen in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic odds, Pepper Jet, is also likely to see more money roll in for him after the Liam Birchley-trained $5.50 chance was cleared to race by stewards this morning.

Pepper Jet was examined by veterinary surgeons pre and post trackwork this morning and in good news for connections was found to show no signs of soreness in the unbeaten colts’ previously affected foot and has been passed to race.

In the other major feature at the Gold Coast tomorrow, the $1 million Magic Millions 3YO Guineas, American Crew is now certain to line-up after also having previously encountered transport issues.

The Chris Waller-trained Stratum gelding American Crew is a market firmer now at $9 to take glory in the 3YO Guineas tomorrow.
