There is no doubt that one the punters favorite tracks to bet at is Caulfield and today’s Boxing Day race fields seem like there are some good betting races. The weather is currently overcast and the track is rated a Good 3 . The following Caulfield race tips are supplied by our in house form experts and odds and market movers are supplied by Luxbet
Race 1 sees the Peter Moody trained Golden Archer stepping out again , this colt was super impressive on debut and won easily , its hard to see him getting beaten and has already been backed from $2 into $1.75 with Luxbet , these are still great odds and they wont last , we rate the horse in this line up a $1.50 chance and being trained on the track its hard to go past. The only danger if any is the Patrick Payne trained Stop Sookin which was a great run on debut after being held up ran home well for 3rd in good time down the Flemington straight.
Race 2 and again Peter Moody has the horse to beat in this race with Little Artist currently $3.5 with Luxbet however there has already been some money for Elsewhere backed from $8 in early markets to $4.60 which is a big go for Luxbet to wind it in that much , copped interference last start but will race handy and be hard to beat. Exchanges was backed early also from $4.6 into $3.30 but eased when the money came for the others.
Race 3 and Lee Freedman gets a chance with Typeface , freshened up since his last start win over the 1000 meters at Moonee Valley after coming from back in the field but ran very good time looks like a horse on the way up at $3 we think is odds too good to miss. You can basically throw a dart to find the placings although there has been a sprinkling of early money for A Beta Imagination and Ben Zena and Metallic Grey at odds.
Race 4 and even though he is not one of our favorite horses De Arias gets his chance today and is currently $7 with Luxbet . The Moody trained Jewel Thief has been backed in from $4 to $3.60 already but surely Moody cant win all the races. At odds Diamondsontheinside has come in from $17 to $13 but will need luch from the draw and he is an 8 year old.
Race 5 Put your bet on Aloha even at $1.60 and they go and stand in the Queue , wait a few minutes and then collect. Anything except Crabs can run a place.
Race 6 is the Christmas Stakes and a good sprint race for this time of year and if you find the winner you should get value unless of course you like Huxssen which we don’t and at $5 in from $6 we think someone has had too much Christmas cheer. At $13 and now he is in form the Group 1 performed Grand Duels could be good value , he has drawn badly and has plenty of weight but is the class runner and does have Steven Arnold on board. About Ready at $7 is a good chance also and for third we think Gold in Dubai will run a race at $10. Miss Octopussy has been well supported into favorite from $5 to $4.20 with Luxbet
Race 7 sees Mid Summer Music again trained on the track by Moody as favorite at a well supported $2.80 but we think it can get rolled by another horse trained at the track and that is Little Gem trained by Mick Price , and at $9 is much better value.
Race 8 will see Shadowfax win daylight second and anything for third , just back Shadowfax and take the $3 will Luxbet we think it’s free money.
Best bet of the day is Shadowfax or even Aloha ALL UP Shadowfax .
