Before the elite racing action of the 2010 Kingston Town Classic lights up the Ascot track tomorrow, five excellent TAB race meetings will take place around the country today giving punters plenty to get excited about on the second day of summer.
With quality meets scheduled for Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia there is a selection of great events to enjoy a bet on today.
Originally six TAB meets were planned but the racing at Coffs Harbour has been abandoned due to the state of the track.

The first of two TAB meetings in Victoria this Friday will take place at Pakenham with an excellent eight-race programme starting with the $12,000 Reward Distribution SV 3YO Maiden Plate (1000m) at 1:00pm (AEDST).
Best race on the card is Race 6 – the $12,000 Hygain 0 – 68 Handicap (1400m) at 3:59pm (AEDST) where our pick is #5 Summarise coming off a good win and drawn well.
Two top meets will run in Queensland today with the seven-race card at Ipswich first up, things getting underway with the $10,000 Two-Years-Old Maiden Plate (800m) at 2:05pm (AEDST).
With three Class Handicaps the highlights of the day, stay tuned for the later events. Pick of the day is #2 Typhoon Fury in Race 5.
In South Australia the Mount Gambier track will host a bumper nine-race programme today kicking off with the $10,000 ARC / SABOIS Maiden Plate (900m) at 2:25pm (AEDST).
Further down the card quality events including Race 6 – the $15,000 Scott Group of Companies Handicap (1800m) will run and in Race 6 we rate #3 Beaujolang to win.
The second Friday race meeting in Victoria today will take place at the scenic Moonee Valley track, the eight-race twilight meet starting with the $30,000 NYE at the Valley Handicap (2040m) at 6:45pm (AEDST).
Race 4 – the $55,000 Essendon Mazda 55 Second Challenge Heat 6 Handicap (955m) will be a scintillating sprint showdown with a number of real chances.
Our best tips for the night include #3 Dixie Doll in Race 5, #5 Testascana in Race 6 and #2 Baikal in Race 7.
The Friday night racing action wraps up in Queensland tonight with eight cracker races scheduled to start at 7:00pm (AEDST) with the $10,000 Dri Glo Class 2 Handicap (1100m).
Watch for #3 Khagan for trainer John Thompson in Race 2, #5 Lovmieko in Race 3 for value, and #7 Falvero in Race 5.
