2010 Kingston Town Classic Odds – God Has Spoken Early Favourite

The 2010 Festival of Perth Racing comes to a close at Ascot Racecourse on Saturday December 4 with the Kingston Town Classic Day, and Australia’s premier online bookmaker Luxbet have opened the early betting markets on the day’s feature race, the $500,000 Group 1 Kingston Town Classic (1800m).

Local Blackfriars four-year-old God Has Spoken is the current favourite to win the 2010 Kingston Town Classic, installed at the top of the All In betting markets at $7 through Luxbet.

The Neville Parnham-trained galloper soared into favouritism for the feature after taking out the Group 3 R.J. Peters Stakes (1500m) at Ascot on November 13, favoured to go one better than his second place finish in the Kingston Town Classic last year.

This Saturday November 20, God Has Spoken will run in the Group 1 Railway Stakes (1800m) and how they perform in the $1 million feature will have a huge influence over the Kingston Town Classic odds.

The close second favourite in the Kingston Town Classic betting is defending champion Sniper’s Bullet, the veteran seven-year-old paying $7.50.

Sniper’s Bullet took out the coveted Railway Stakes / Kingston Town Classic double at the Perth Summer Carnival last year, and is back in this Saturday’s Railway Stakes.

Other horses heading towards the 2010 Kingston Town Classic that are at early single-figure odds include Colour Correct ($8.50), Chris Waller’s Sydney raider Triple Honour ($8.50) and WA Guineas winner Playing God ($9), stablemate to favourite God Has Spoken.

In-form local galloper Colour Correct is the clear favourite to take out the Railway Stakes on the weekend after claiming back-to-back stakes wins at Ascot.

Success on Saturday will see Colour Correct storm into outright favouritism for the Kingston Town, so now is the time to get behind them before their odds shorten.

Thirty-four horses are still vying for a spot in the 2010 Kingston Town Classic final field and punters can get odds on all hopefuls.
