The last race of the day here at Flemington on Emirates Stakes Day, the $125,000 Emirates Airline Handicap over 1400m, has been won by the Danny O’Brien trained five-year-old Keano.
Lady Gaga led early from Keano and held it until Keano with jockey James Winks took the lead in the last 200m and held off a strong finish from Ahdashim who was second. The Mick Price trained Lady Gaga managed to hold onto third place followed by Berringama rounding out the first four.
Race favourite We’re Gonna Rock could only manage 7th place.
