2009 Hong Kong Mile Final Field & Barrier Draw

One of the world?s premier days of thoroughbred racing will take place this Sunday at Sha Tin Racecourse in Hong Kong. The International Raceday features four Group 1 events with the betting markets really starting to heat up following the barrier draw.

The HK$15 million (approx. AUS $2.3million) Cathay Pacific Hong Kong Mile (1600m) has only Australian galloper this year, the John O?Shea-trained Racing To Win who has drawn poorly in barrier 10.

Defending Hong Kong Mile champ and current favourite Good Ba Ba has also received a less-than-ideal draw and will start beside the Aussie in barrier nine.

Last year?s runner-up Able One, on the other hand, has drawn well with barrier three while the Paul O?Sullivan-trained Fellowship has drawn the rails.

The Hong Kong Mile is scheduled as race seven at the meeting and is due to start at 6:50pm.
