Filly Majestic Music is fit, in-form and ready to take on the males in Saturday?s Group 3 Sandown Guineas (1600m).
Having secured a win in the Listed Lexus Hybrid (1400m) during the Flemington Carnival, Majestic Music?s trainer Leon Macdonald is convinced she deserves a start in the Guineas to show what she?s got as the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival draws to a close.
A mentally and physically mature three-year-old, Majestic Music boasts three wins form her last four starts, bringing her total prizemoney to over $420 000.
Her Lexus Hybrid victory came off the back of a slightly disappointing but still brave two-and-a-half length defeat by Irish Lights in the Group 1 Thousand Guineas.
Clare Lindop, back from suspension, will mount Majestic Music in the race this Saturday after missing the Thousand Guineas.
The pair have a good track record, Lindop aboard Majestic Music for her victory in the Edward Manifold Stakes (1610m) back on October 3.
