A top day of racing will take place at Eagle Farm on Saturday December 4, the programme highlighted by two black-type features including the $100,000 Listed Mode Three-Years-Old Fillies Plate (1200m).

The 2010 Mode Plate has a field limit of 17 starters and currently 20 fillies are vying for a spot in Saturday’s final field.

One of the top entries for the feature Eagle Farm event is the Steven O’Dea-trained Bianca Jewel, the consistent Lion Heart filly resuming racing for the season after nearly a five month spell.

Bianca Jewel has finished out of the money just once in her seven career starts that have produced three wins including her last start victory at Eagle Farm as a two-year-old back in July.

After running a promising second in an 860m barrier trial a week ago, the punters are sure to get behind Bianca Jewel when betting opens at Luxbet.

Leading local trainer Barry Baldwin is set to run his Commands filly Demanding Miss on Saturday also first-up after a spell.

In the autumn Demanding Miss failed when finishing dead last in the Group 1 TJ Smith (1600m) at Eagle Farm, but went on to win a two-year-olds handicap at Randwick and most recently produced a solid third in her first barrier trial for the season on November 23.

Other notable fillies nominated for the Mode Plate on Saturday include Gold Coast-based Dubai Prospect coming off a comprehensive win in a Fillies and Mares Handicap on November 20, Paul Messara’s classy daughter of Danzero Pyrography looking for her third straight win after back-to-back victories in Sydney this preparation, and the David Murphy-trained Mossriver who broke through with her maiden win here on November 10.

The marquee race at the Eagle Farm meet on Saturday will be the $200,000 Group 3 George Moore Stakes (1200m) where the likes of Temple Of Boom, Falco Star and Phelan Ready will face off.
